Dive Site Spotlight: Castle Beach
Castle Beach offers a fantastic shore diving experience that's ideal for beginners and anyone keen to explore the beauty of the Cornish coastline. The best time to dive here is at high tide, when visibility improves and depths reach around 7 to 8 metres—perfect for a relaxed yet immersive underwater adventure.
Being a shore entry site, we recommend wearing dive boots for extra comfort and grip on the pebbly approach. Once underwater, you’ll be greeted by a thriving marine ecosystem. From vibrant kelp forests to sandy banks and rocky reef formations, the area is teeming with life. Expect to encounter an impressive range of fish species and fascinating marine habitats.
For those with a passion for underwater history, Castle Beach also offers a special treat: the remains of a sunken World War II U-boat. It's a compelling dive that blends marine exploration with a touch of wartime mystery—an unforgettable highlight for any diver.
