PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver Certification
Ready to maximize your bottom time? The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is the most popular PADI specialty course—and for good reason. Using enriched air nitrox allows you to extend your no-decompression limits, especially on repetitive dives. Whether you’re planning a dive vacation or want to enhance your skills, this certification is a game-changer.
What You’ll Learn:
• What Enriched Air Is: Understand the basics of enriched air nitrox—breathing gas with a higher percentage of oxygen and less nitrogen than regular air.
• Benefits & Limits: Learn how enriched air helps reduce nitrogen uptake and extend bottom time, especially on multi-dive days.
• Analyzing Oxygen Content: Practice analyzing oxygen percentages in a scuba cylinder and setting your dive computer accordingly.
• Managing Oxygen Exposure: Learn how to plan dives that stay within safe oxygen exposure limits.
Course Includes:
• Digital knowledge development
• Hands-on practice with oxygen analyzers
• Dive planning using enriched air-compatible dive computers
• Optional enriched air dives (depending on location)
Prerequisites:
• PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)
• Minimum age: 12 years
Why Get Nitrox Certified?
Using enriched air nitrox gives you more no-stop time underwater—especially useful for diving between 18–30 metres/60–100 feet or when making multiple dives in a day. It also helps shorten surface intervals and can reduce fatigue post-dive.
