PADI Boat Diver Certification

Boats take you to some of the world’s best dive sites—but diving from a boat comes with its own set of skills. The PADI Boat Diver course teaches you how to dive safely and efficiently from different types of boats, whether you’re stepping off a small RIB or giant-striding from a liveaboard.

What You’ll Learn:

• Boat Diving Basics: Get familiar with various boat types, diving etiquette, and common procedures for boarding, entry, and exit.

• Gear Stowage & Setup: Learn how to organize and secure your equipment for safe and easy access on deck.

• Navigation & Communication: Understand how to use surface signaling devices and communicate effectively with crew and other divers.

• Safety Considerations: Learn emergency protocols, including boat-specific procedures and how to avoid hazards like propellers and current drift.

Course Includes:

• Two open water dives from a boat

• Practical training on boat diving techniques and surface safety

• Briefings on local boat dive procedures and regional variations

• Tips for making your boat dives smoother and more enjoyable

Prerequisites:

• PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)

• Minimum age: 10 years
