Some of the most exciting dive sites lie deeper than 18 metres/60 feet—wrecks, walls, and rarely seen marine life. The PADI Deep Diver course gives you the knowledge and skills to safely explore depths down to 40 metres/130 feet. If you’re ready to take your diving to the next level, this specialty is your gateway to the deep.
What You’ll Learn:
• Deep Dive Planning: Learn how to plan and execute deep dives, including proper gas management and time considerations.
• Equipment Considerations: Use specialized gear and configurations suited for deeper environments.
• Managing Narcosis: Understand how depth affects your body and mind, and how to stay alert and aware during deep dives.
• Emergency Procedures: Practice dealing with potential deep diving problems, including gas supply issues and safety stops.
Course Includes:
• Four open water deep dives
• Hands-on experience with deep dive gear and procedures
• Dive planning and depth/air tracking practice
• Emergency protocols and navigation techniques at depth
Prerequisites:
• PADI Adventure Diver (or equivalent)
• Minimum age: 15 years
